I400 revised
Lexington, MA (April 05, 2010) - The I400 is one of our Pyramid's best established products. It combines the low current measurement sensitivity and accuracy of the gated integrator method with the ability to bias the four signal inputs up to 400 V from ground using a built-in high voltage power supply. The I400 has found application for quadrant ionization chamber readout, for white beam position monitoring in synchrotron beamlines, and for readout of diamond detectors.
Revision 4 of the I400 introduces the flanged stainless steel case design used on other Pyramid devices, for ease of mounting. After listening to our customers, we have replaced the USB interface by RS-485. RS-485 is often used as a convenient means of using an established RS-232 / ASCII host interface, but with cable lengths of hundred's of feet possible. The I400 thus offers RS-232, RS485 and 10 Mbps fiber optic communications as standard. It can be used stand-alone, or as a part of an integrated system.
