Low-current measurement with multiple input channels is a particular specialization of Pyramid Technical Consultants. There are two fundamental architectures: gated integration on a precision capacitor, and the transconductance amplifier, or I-V converter. The Pyramid I-series devices use gated integration method, and are particularly suited for very small currents (down to 1 pA and below, and up to 10’s of µA) where relatively low data rates (less than 1 kHz) are acceptable. The F-series devices use the transconductance amplifier method, and are best suited to higher current levels (nA up to 10’s of mA) and higher data rates.
All current measuring devices can be supplied with high voltage modules for biasing detectors or providing secondary electron suppression.
